APPRENTICE CHIMNEY TECHNICIAN

Crown Chimney is in search of hard-working, self-motivated people who want to blaze a trail in the chimney sweep industry. No experience necessary! 

Successful candidates will shadow licensed lead technicians to assist with regular sweeps and inspections (wood, oil, gas, pellet stove appliances); masonry chimney rebuilds and repairs; liner, cap and appliance installations; customized stone resurfacing and restoration.  We do “anything and everything” chimney!  Hands-on training opportunities will serve to advance the technician’s education through to the successful completion of the CSIA Certification. This is a year-round, full-time position with a Monday – Friday schedule (and occasional Saturdays) working from 8AM to 5PM.

Successful candidates will possess:  

• Willingness to learn and positive attitude
• Ability to perform physical labor; lift and carry up to 80 pounds
• Comfort working in high places, along steep slopes as well as climbing ladders and scaffolding
• Willingness to work in a variety of seasonal weather conditions
• Customer-service mindset
• Successful drug and background screening
• Construction experience a plus
